The Lounge

This is a double-size living space with picture windows incorporating a French door onto the garden.

Looking into and along the lounge, from the reception room. Note the central arch, which originally was a wall separating two rooms (still apparent from the old glazed floor tiles). This angle looks straight through into the kitchen at the far end.

Looking back through the lounge to the reception. Note how much light floods into the room from the large windows. Very different from the dark space that it was originally created as.

View along the side of the lounge facing the garden, where you can see the two windows. Originally, there was one small window looking onto the garden. To bring a more modern level of light this expanded to two large arches, filled with glass that lets the light flood in.
