The Kitchen

Panoramic view of the kitchen work-surfaces. Beneath the work-surface is cupboard space with ventilated cupboard doors.

View of the doorway (open-plan, with no door) from kitchen to lounge,

View of over the kitchen sink into the garden. This makes the kitchen very light, and provides plentiful illumination across the length of the work surface.

View of the kitchen work-surfaces, including a table (not included in sale) to illustrate possible use of space.

Left-hand side of the kitchen. (Where the door
to the original washroom used to be, before the 1990s.) And right-hand side, showing the sink and garden window.

Stone arch across the centre of the kitchen. (Perhaps originally this was a wall splitting what is now the kitchen into two rooms. If so, then that wall had been removed even before the modifications of the 1990s.

Double wooden door, with window shutters, leading from kitchen to back yard..

Wrought-iron fanlight above door from yard to the shower room (left) and the from the yard to the kitchen (right).

The small yard between the kitchen and the shower room, which lets a current of air down into the ground floor, and light into the kitchen. On the right is the view looking up from the small yard. There is a sheet of corrugated transparent to keep rain and dust out.

The latch on the door of the shower room.

Views of the ground-floor shower room, alongside the kitchen. From left to right, going clockwise around the room: the shower, the wash basin, the bidet, and the loo and towel rail.
