The Courtyard
The garden or courtyard is a secluded space, enclosed on three sides by the house, and on the fourth side by a tall, windowless party-wall with the adjoining property.
The quiet and very private courtyard. This view is looking toward the kitchen. There are climbing plants running up the wall, and plenty of opportunity to 'green' the courtyard with your choice of potted plants. As it is shield from both the wind and direct sun, this yard is a comfortable space in which to have breakfast and lunch. (If you want to sunbathe, the roof terrace is the place to go!) |
